Yesterday I got home from work, slept got up 3 1/2 hours later and we looked at a Fiat 500 (pretty sure we're trading the Prius in), dropped Eddie off and drove home. It was so beautiful out I decided I would go for a spin on my road bike.
Headed out to Petersham via 101 and hooked onto Route 32. That's a fun section. Saw another rider and something just kicks in, had to catch them! Caught up and met Dan, rode together till 2A, he went towards Athol and I headed home.
I just rode on how I felt, if I was tired I soft pedaled, if a felt good I picked it up. Best thing last night, no winds and the bugs were there but didn't get me!

Now this was a Great Day!
Check it out! A lazy morning at home with Eddie, breakfast, coffee then a mountain bike ride at Pearly Brook. Well we got Just over 5 miles in. I had a same endo on some really nasty, rooty stuff at the beginning of the ride. I was a little whiney about it. Got over it. Eddie showed me a new trail someone has been working on. Very nice!! There's an awesome climb in it too. Half way up that my chain broke, hiked the bike to the top of the hill. Eddie starts fixing the chain and the May flies are swarming us, I mean swarming. I broke two pine branches off and was waving them over our heads to keep the flies away while Eddie was repairing my chain. Got it back together somewhat. Turned around coasted down the hill and my bike and I limped back to the car. Eddie practiced one legged drills.
Got home, Eddie had to go to work so I ran over to Ashby, MA to John Hanley at Boulder Bikes to get the chain set. John is the best!! Fixed it right away and I drove back home.
It's so nice out, I threw on some riding clothes and hopped on my road bike!! Did a quick 40 minute ride, so glad I did!!
That was great but what's even better is that I'm picking my daughter up from work and get my daughter in law and the three of us are going to have dinner together!!
What better day could I have??

Yesterday was a beautiful day! We had a nice easy morning, dropped off the car to have a broken strut repaired, did yard work, then it was time for Eddie to go to work. Picked up the repaired car and ran up to our mountain bike teams shop Norm's Bike and Ski to pick up the riding kits for this year.
On the way home I kept thinking, "it's so nice out, I need to go for a ride". Got home, threw on riding clothes, got on the bike and knew I had an hour to ride before our daughter came over for a ride. Decided I'd ride the Winchendon Loop, some flat, some climbs as you can see by my speed. I decided I would kind of treat it like a TT ride. The weather was perfect! Not a lot of traffic either!
Felt great, enjoyed the ride and the climbing. I love the feeling of the warm air rushing past me as I'm descending! They weren't big ones but fun!
Got home and waited for Anna to arrive to hop onto the rollers while she rode on the trainer.
